I have discovered him recently and when I watched his 2002 , 2003 concerts I have completely fell in in love. There has not been a talent like this on Russian estrada for a long time.
But his later concerts had been a disapointment to me. I did not think that his humour is getting nasty , but more that it's not as smart.
But as of 2009 so far I like him again.
No matter how talanted one is the creativity goes through stages. I hope that he will be showing more of his amazing talent.

For whatever reason I also think that she was or is a bad influence on him.
That is despite the fact that she had been my favourite singer in the Soviet Union.

i guess his wife has some impact on him...she is dragging him everywhere she goes..not that he is a child..

Sorry to hear that. I discovered Maxim Galkin last December by watching his New Year with Maxim Galkin shaw on Channel 1 . I was impressed, but lately I am getting the same feeling as you: his humour is getting nasty and sometimes has a hint of a bad taste. It is too bad he is does that, such a talent.
