After the titles, the film just launches into our first tip.. Don't tailgate! Nice looking smashes of 1950's cars are shown. Luckily, this film has not a trace of blood in it. Other tips are shown, eg don't litter (which is hilariously shown here as the people are just hurling stuff from their cars, how to pass, and of course, this being a Sid Davis film, the encompassing fear of picking up hitchhikers! Well, ok.. as the narrator says, "It's not a wise act to pick up hitchhikers indiscriminately". SO PICK AND CHOOSE YOUR HITCHERS!
