This baby Mud Swallow bird's nest had been taken down and abandoned by someone who decided to paint his or her house and could not wait a month until the end of the Swallows' mating season. I hope that I can save it and see it grow strong enough to fly away in a month from now.

  • awe it's so cute. . . but you should have just put it back in the nest

  • @cupcakecutey99 I would have but the nest had been taken down and thrown out on the sidewalk.

  • Why wasn't he put back in the nest?

  • The nest had been taken down and thrown away by someone who wanted to paint his or her house. Pi-Chi had been abandoned. I had to make a choice. Leave in the nest, put the nest back somewhere and hope that some birds would feed him or take him in and do my best to save him. I decided to take him in.

  • Poor little bird, it looks like it was looking for its siblings.

That was very nice of you to take it in!

  • Thank you for the nice comment. I think that he was indeed looking for his siblings. They normally stay close to each other to stay warm.
