eames lounge chair 1956 + 2006

this is my split-screen homage to early eames film techniques and the design of the eames lounge chair and ottoman and the original eames film profiling the chair....if you look closely you'll see where the two films matchup for a brief second in the assembling and dis-assembling portraits of the chair and it's parts.

That was very nice work! The viewers should also be aware that although the model 670/671 Lounge chair/Ottoman LOOK much the same now as they did over fifty years ago, almost every part of the chair has been redesigned in one way or the other, from the aluminum base and feet, to the center support shaft, to the plywood shells, to the support braces & washers, to the wood veneers used, to the type of leather used and the filling materials. Still, one INCREDIBLE CHAIR!!!
