  • hey, i am cmtemplating and figured i should ask you... i found this set and 6270 Foorbidden Island from 1989 both for $40 (USD) and i am not sure which to get as i want both, but cant get both at the same time... i have no idea how lonng they will be there, so which do you think i should get first?

i really need the wench from this set, and i like the set, but i like forbidden island aswell and it would be neat to have the old set i think(this set is in sealed box, 6270 has no box)

  • @toasterhead91 Tough, both are very good sets. In my opinion, either would be a good buy, but I'd go for the older set, just for the nostalgic value, but anyway you look at it, you're getting a good set. The Canadian Critic

  • 4 stars out of 10? or 4 out of 5? Look I am a kid and my dad bought me this set which I wasnt going forward to get neither buy. So you think it is worth it? Because i am disspapointed because i asked for the ship which is way cooler. So is it worth it?

  • 4 out of 5, and yes I think it's worth it for the pirate wench and all the great pieces. the Canadian Critic

  • nobody cares about the box

  • @legomaniac1128 thanks =)

that is what i was thinking, mainly because a shipwreck hidout is easy to come by again(probably for about $10 more though) but i might be able to get both if i get lucky.

I will go with forbidden island i suppose... seems like the better choice, pluse it is a little more hideout-pirate-base-ish, and has the nice baseplate =)

  • Oh man, I started up digging my old Lego sets after watching a few videos. If they ever re-re-release their Western theme, I'd be all over it.

  • Was never available in Denmark... Darn it!

  • nice review :D i like this set

  • lol xD fair enough bud :)

  • Will you to stop bickering! You sound like an old married couple. The Canadian Critic
