  • Hess is all over the mound. He has wasted motion. Wastes his energy. Just rock back and throw. Watch Popp. He just throws.

  • @huskyjerk The reason I am all over the mound is to hide my pitches. My slider, screw ball and curve ball all have different arm angles. If I just rock back and throw, an experience batter would be able to pick up on what pitch is coming. I pitch all the time, so wasted energy really isnt a concern. We only play 6 inning games. The reason why Popp can get away with such a simple, fluid motion is because he throws 20mph harder than I do. I walked 13 batters in 41 IP, he walked 36 in 29 IP

  • nasty kid.... you should try and play some golden stick i bet your worth something

  • Hey Chris, it's Jeremy from the Griffleball League. Just wanted to say great video and amazing performance here!!!

  • @HessFieldWiffleBall Ok, pal. Didn't mean to ridicule you. Just trying to help. Still seems like you are making it seem harder than it is. Afterall, it is just backyard wiffleball.

  • @allincz1031 We used to play with solid plastic balls and did not allow the pitchers to throw hard. Hence, we had a nice balance of hitting and defense. Made it quite fun.

  • @huskyjerk agreed. the top leagues in the country, us included, are pitching dominant but most of those leagues want to appeal to a national audience and say "look how nasty we are." we were like that a couple years ago but we're shifting to a mode where we dont care what ppl think of us nationally we just wanna make it more fun to play in the league itself and that means increasing offense for sure. if that makes our pitchers ERA's and K totals look weaker from the outside than so be it

  • @allincz1031 Just wish more leagues had the philosophy that there would be more offense in these games.

  • @huskyjerk were moving the mound back and getting rid of the elevated mound for 2012

  • Hess needs to learn from Popp. Popp has no wasted motion and is very fluid.
