Funny story:
One day, there was a huge fight between twilight fags at my school, everyone was just screaming "TEAM EDWARD" or "TEAM JACOB". So I just jumped in and shouted "TEAM BELMONT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Chazz8Zelda actually Gabriel's story goes back further then Leon's story. What I believe Leon actually is significant for is being the first Belmont to specifically hunt COUNT DRACULA and all the night who follow him. Gabriel just became part of a global conflict that was caused by the final Lord of Shadow himself. That was placing a barrier that separated the heavens and the earth, which was the cause for all those demons from suddenly appearing.
