    Best thing about The Sweeney was the 70s and the theme tune. Not interested in 2012 version.

    That's the thing though, The Sweeney isn't meant to be remembered just for being set in the 70's. It's was, back then, a gritty, modern look at the police force and crime, it's just now everyone associates it with 70's nostalga, which it shouldn't be about.

    Originally I thought this was gonna be pants and that it should have been a period setting but actually, seeing the film, I loved every second of it, it captured the gritty violence of the original series to a tee!
