I am at a loss to describe how I feel about Zevon's music. Brilliant? Bitting political commentary? Auto-biographical? Yeah, but still inadequate to describe his genius. We certainly need Warren during all this political upheaval ... would love to hear his take on the current insanity ...

Warren Zevon was almost prophetic with his story in the lyrics of his late 70's song 'Exitable Boy', describing a character whose acts go from bad taste, to insane violence, as each of the four verses 'progress'. Every verse excuses the characters behavior by the, 'he's just an exitable boy' chorus. Back then, the behavior he talks about in that song was a rarity to imagine, now, unfortunatety, it seems to lurk around every corner.

So many years later, I always remember one quote from an early magazine/newspaper article, Warren saying; 'I had six years to work on my first album, now the record company expects me to have the second one ready in six months !"......................................................................You did good, Warren!

Somewhere in my attic, I still have the vinyl album this is on, that I bought in 1978, I really appreciate being able to hear this version of Carmelita. Perfect ! Thanks for posting!
