@fauquex Actually this song is not about patriotism it is quite the oposite. It is about how corrupt our coutry is. This came straight from John's mouth.

Thanks so much for your kind words, fauquex. I'm a Swiss American (my family is originally from Sumiswald -- moved here as Mennonite regugees 257 years ago!), and I'm still proud of that Swiss part also.

This is OUR COUNTRY... but never forget that only because a white man is singing the song doesn't mean OUR indicates whites....OUR means us AMERICANS!!!
One thing I can truly say about this country is that...whether you are white, black, asian, hispanic, u can be an American without feeling awkward...
for example, a white or black man born in China will not be a Chinese nor Asian...
