Buffalo soldiers were sent to the remote areas of the Old West. Many of their outposts are now major Southwestern cities. This video features several Buffalo Soldiers dressed in their regalia at the 20th National Festival of the West 2010. Artist Kenneth M. Freeman was a Buffalo Soldier in the 9th Memorial Calvary in Arizona and Ken painted the Buffalo Soldiers. An exhibition of his Buffalo Soldier artwork and sculpture is at the Booth Museum, a Smithsonian Affiliate, outside of Atlanta, GA.

  • God Bless Trooper Freeman, a great artist.

    Keep telling that history Bill.

How do you keep a people down? You 'never' let them 'know' their history.

The 7th Cavalry got their butts in a sling again after the Little Big Horn Massacre, fourteen years later, the day after the Wounded Knee Massacre. If it wasn't for the 9th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers, there would of been a second massacre of the 7th Cavalry. Read the novel, and visit website, rescue at pine ridge. com
