"First We Take Manhattan" is a 1988 song by Leonard Cohen. The song is the first track on the album "I'm Your Man".

Cohen's then girlfriend, Dominique Isserman, shot a black and white promotional video for the original version of "First We Take Manhattan" which can also be viewed on YouTube:

Interestingly this alternate ?semi-live version was included as the opening track on Cohen's 1988 VHS release "Songs From The Life Of..."!
