READ THIS FIRST.
The quality is a bit messed up so I may do a repost. But for now just copy and paste &fmt=18 at the very end of the url address in the address bar.
This is a tribute to those that have died fighting for our freedom. I tried to make it look like the monuments were telling the story, but it may not have turned out that way. I'd like to credit my sister for here help in this vids production.
Please comment and rate.

I'm Proud to be an American. I'm proud of every soldier out there fighting to protect our freedom. I was makeing this for the 4th of July. But i'm posting it early becouse of the anti-soldier comments i had seen on some other videos. I'm sick of people cussing them out for doing their job.I don't care if your for or against the war. I care about the men and woman fighting abroad. So take my advice if you don't stand behind our troops, then do me a favor stand in front of them. Semper Fidelis.

UPDATE:
the picture at :56 is called "vietnam reflections" by Lee Teter. A short biography of the painting can be found here.

I'm looking for a web page listing the story behind it in more detail, if anyone knows a site please drop me a line here on youtube, and i'll be sure to post it.

  • Could anybody tell me the name of the beautiful painting at 0.56. It's the most moving thing I've seen in a long time ......Ex Aussie digger ...

  • "Vietnam Reflections" by Lee Teter

I just posted a link to a website with a short biography on the painting. If a pictures worth a thousand words, that ones worth a million.

  • Thank you for making this video. The song has always made me cry, but when you put in TAPS at the end, it melted my heart. My daddy served in the navy at Vietnam. I learned from him to respect our military men and women no matter what cause they fight for. I was in a restaurant about a year ago and I told the waitress I would pay the bill for the soldier sitting alone. She said, "I'm paying for it. The boss doesn't like it, but I do it anyway." I got to meet two awesome people that day.

  • thank you for doing that. not many people would go out of their way to try and buy a meal for our soldiers.

  • That shot at 1:00 is awesome. I paused and held it there for awhile. Where did you find that?

It's Memorial Day 2009, so I looked for this song on YouTube. You and another guy did excellent jobs with putting together montages. Definitely going into my favorites--though next time I don't think I'll watch it right before bed! :-(

    Thank you for this.

  • That particular photo was from photobucket. search vietnam wall and it should come up some where down the line.

I'll admit this will get you to thinking, especially late at night. thank you for the compliment, i'm glad you liked it. But compared to what our soldiers have done for us, this is the least i could do for them.

  • @flyingnicemadbear From one vet to another.....Thank you for your service. Please don't think of yourself as dying with your friend. You all fought together knowing what the outcome could be. You survived because God had another mission for you to complete. Whatever your mission is....do it knowing there is a reason.....a very good reason, you are still here. Your friends would want nothing less. God bless you!

  • You guys did a great job. It's a beautiful tribute.

  • @cavtrooper67 I'm sorry for the lost friends and hope God has them safe. THANK YOU for serving!

  • My heart still crys for my lost buddies, their names are on many different panels of the wall, so many fine young men lost in a war we were not allowed to win because of political ramifacations. Rest in peace my friends one day we will all meet again at Fiddlers Green. Every night I enter a place that only exists deep in my mind back in Nam still fighting the war like being in an endless time warp that replays over and over. Rest in peace

  • I would like to say thank you from my father-in-law who didn't make it through la Drang valley. He was with 1/7 Cav in 1st Cav Div. God bless all our soldiers and their families who also share in the hardships. Thank you again from a retired Scout.

  • @flyingnicemadbear Thank you for your service and may God bless you and your fallen comrades. It must have been very hard and I could not imagine what you went through. I have a brother that was in the gulf war. He came back thank God. I have many Uncles, brothers, nephews and friends that are in the military. I pray that God will keep them safe. I know your buddy appreciated you being there when he passed. May God comfort you. On my behalf thank you once again.

  • Yes Lord bless all our soldiers and other military people. Please bring them home safely to thier families and loved ones. Please place peace and love in all our hearts when it comes to wars and our troops being over there so that we can sleep at night it doesn't matter what race they are because they all bleed red, white and blue. God bless the USA and that another 9/11 will never happen again.

  • i thought there would be more ...pity

  • Cried in my coffee! My brothers name, John N Brewer, is on the wall about 35-37 seconds into this video!!!!. Had to pause it and run and get the rubbing I did from the actual wall back in the mid 80's to verify. Thank you for your creation of this video, it is a wonderful tribute to our soldiers. Also, if anyone reading this, knew Johnny and about a friend of his who made a music album and dedicated it to my brother please contact me at windstar59@hotmail.com. Remembering always. The Brat

  • Seeing this video for the first time. So many of these comments express my feelings as well. How overwhelmed I felt when I first found "Reflections" and discovered that the names on the painting were actual names! More awestruck was when I found my brother's name in the painting, panel 30 E, line 23! Thanks so much for the time you spent on this video! We must NEVER forget!

  • Truely wonderful, thank you very much.

  • Been there and one that. Visited the Wall and tried to find all the names of my brothers in arms. Stood at the monument showing the soldiers as you walk out of the Wall. I heard Jimmy Fortune sing this at Dollywood and it still brought back the memories. Painful as they are I will never forget. The fallen have given the ultimate price for people so they can express their opinions right or wrong.

  • Wonderful job on the video. Thank you so much for posting it. When you added Taps at the end, wow! Thank you, troops, every single one of you.

  • all of our fallen soldiers are much more than a name on a wall. Even if we dont support a way we need to support the men and women who fight it

  • The picture at 1:00 was incredible. Almost made me cry
