This film marked the global call to action for author and religious scholar Karen Armstrongs Charter for Compassion. FreeForm created this film to inspire and empower contribution to the Charter by people of all faiths, asking them to unite around the universal values of compassion and tolerance.

A year later, with input from all over the world, the Charter for Compassion is finalized. Affirm the Charter here:

  • Karen Armstrong is my hero! I get the feeling that she has actually read the words of Jesus,

  • Genius video, Jesse, fantastic photography. Important.

  • it means that we all need to step up out of our mire of hate and war..... to save our souls....

  • As a life long anti church person this the sort of thing that gives me hope that we might just be getting a notion of what we need. Social justice, spirituality and compassion - now that is something valuable.
