A little showcase demonstrating what can be done with the wiimote on a PC (EEE 1000H specifically in this case)

Both scripts used here I wrote and were rather easy. You can find them posted here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=303559

Programs Used:
Bluesoleil: Bluetooth driver/software
GlovePie: Program to translate the wiimote signals into computer commands.
Winamp: Music Player
ZSNES: Super Nintendo Emulator

Bear with me no retakes here just rushed thru it to have a demo video of this in action and was doing it on break at work so was watching the cameras off screen for people. So I start off really bad but got better near the end.

  • Hey dude, this is so cool. I just saw this video. I just ordered a Asus 1000HA which doesn't have bluetooth. If I plug in a bluetooth adapter, will this work? I'd love playing some old NES games and some old Zelda. Thanks. :-)

  • Yeah it will work but you need to make sure you get a BT adapter that works with the wiimote. If it uses the Toshiba or Bluesoleil stack (drivers) your probably in good shape.

  • Yeah it will work, just make sure you get one that works with the wiimote.

  • dont u need a infrared port?

  • No the wiimote is a bluetooth device. You need bluetooth hardware & software that works with it.

  • I hate to say this man but I know for a fact that you are not in ANY way French. Bluesoleil is actually the English word blue, then the french word soleil for sun. So the program name is "Blue Sun" and soleil is pronounced so-lay. The last "l" is silent. Well still the video was cool! Don't stop now! BTW How do you get "Soil" from "Soleil"? I just don't see it.

  • Now go away you silly English kinnnigight or I shall taught you a second time.

Sol - Eil (eel) so "soil"? I'm not trying to win any pronunciation contests here I'm showing you how to see a wiimote on the EEE.
