Seven Jedi Trailer

Star Wars fan film trailer based on Akira Kurasawa's Seven Samurai. Production & Effects by Jon Bird. Models by Sci-Fi 3D.com This trailer was basically just an excuse to practice compositing with some effects shots. For those who keep asking/speculating/commenting: I'm not really making a full-length, just the trailer for fun.

IMHO, the CG stuff looks kinda lame.. either go all out (try use blender) or use stop motion. All these videos without the CG space ship and the CG'd interior is just awful. Its going to be a waste of a beautiful location, props and actors as the CG'd stuff will bring the whole production value down. I am a DieHard Starwars fan... and I think this should either be on par or take a different approach, this is seemingly half-arsed.

well looks like there is enough hate going on here. So it is better than anything I have ever done, which is nothing. So great job. I liked the three lightsaber yielded by one jedi scene. Keep up the good work when and where can we find the finished product.

great idea. it should definalty be put into words. It would make a great fan fic or a comic or a book that can go between III and IV. I personally believe that the Star Wars movies are finished and i don't get into extended stuff and i hate the whole "Clone Wars" thing being blowned up as well. But this is actually a really neat idea even though you did it just for fun. The thought rocks.

1:37 and 0:26 were the best shots in that trailer. the worst were 0:33 , 0:55 , 1:09 , 1:10 , 1:24 , 1:34
