On today's commute I experienced some of the worst driving I'd ever seen. As I crest this hill on Slade Rd at Bexley, it is impossible to see what is coming the other way. That doesn't stop the impatient ones from crossing the double lines to save themselves 5 seconds. The frustrating thing is that I usually catch them at the next set of lights, so their net gain is zero time time saved. The first couple of drivers in this vid are bad, but nothing compared to the last 2. Unbelievable.

  • Just to continue, the drivers in question only needed to wait for about 20 seconds until I crested the hill, and although the unbroken centre line continues on the downhill, it would have been a much safer passing option, don't you agree?

  • Not that i'm sticking up for these guys... especially not No. 5 (should have their license taken off them) but i'm not sure on the law in this case... If they're not supposed to cross the double lines to overtake you, they're going to go at your sped or slower, and I doubt you were going 50, or even 40. and if the person infront is going more than 10k's UNDER the limit they are impeding the flow of traffic, which is also breaking the law.

Not raging, not trolling, more of starting a discussion.

  • I typed out a great reply to this, only to discover I'm limited to 500 characters. Not going to do it again.

In short I'll refer you to rule 125, Div 1 in the NSW Road Rules which states "A driver must not unreasonably obstruct the path of another driver or a pedestrian." It goes on to say that driving more slowly than other vehicles is not an obstruction. Read the rule for the rest of it. Also, a bike rider is not classed as a driver, so rule 125 doesn't apply anyway.

    Cheers, Kev.

  • @Peddler2565 So wats ur point!!!!!!

  • @megaussie My point is that all cyclists need to be aware that not all road users are capable of deeming a safe passing maneuver v's a dangerous one. That, plus I like to out those drivers who don't consider my life to be worth much. In regards to your other question - my camera is a HD Go-Pro Hero.

  • @Peddler2565 Sorry mate I didnt realise I was replying to the channel host. Also I was having trouble with the verification text and repeat posted. What I meant was this rule 125 does it mean cars can overtake a motorcyclist when travelling slow and cross double yellow lines? U say the rule doesnt apply. I think you were going at correct speed do u remember wat speed u were doing and wat was the limit? Ive had cars overtake me on the left!!! Cheers And good cam I know wat u got expensive & good

  • After watching #4 I was wondering how can you top that, then came # 5 and I was flabbergasted!!!!

  • the last one seems to adjust his course and take the right in the last split second, mad :-(

  • @titoreviro OMG ride around Sydney are you serious? Hospital wards are full of riders? Even a tank would be dangerous in Multicultural Sydney. Australia before it became globalised was an orderly place. Only drunk people drove like this.

  • @Peddler2565 So? Wats ur point?
