Matthew 5:13-16:
You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? ... You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid... Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
First, we should note that the statements "You are the salt of the earth" and "You are the light of the world" are simple statements of fact. This is not an option, it is an observation. Kingdom citizens have this role in God's Kingdom agenda. Further, we should note that these two statements are presented in a context where Jesus has just warned of insults, persecution, and false accusation (Matthew 5:11). "Good ole boys" do not generally generate such intense reaction. Thus when someone lives a salty lifestyle it cannot be ignored. It will not always be appreciated, but it will never be ignored!
Many have forgotten what Jesus has called them to be. As we hope for change and place our hope in man let us repent and turn back to God and answer the call to be the salt and the light in a dying world. Revolution now. Live set apart and bring about the change the world wants to see.
You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, Gods own people, that you may declare the wonderful deeds of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Once you were no people but now you are Gods people; once you had not received Gods mercy but now you have received mercy. (1 Peter 2:9-10)
Arise, shine, your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord rests upon you ...
nations will come to your light
and kings to the brightness of your dawn. (Isaiah 60:1,3)
The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light;
those who dwell in a land of deep darkness,
on them the light has shined. (Isaiah 9:2)
If you cease to prevent justice, if you feed the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the wretched, then your light will
rise like dawn out of darkness. (Isaiah 58:8)

I'm so glad people are realizing now that the bible is not against gay people or gay marriage. It only speaks of homosexuality in the context of rape, orgies, and worshiping other idols. Being gay and gay people getting married is perfectly fine.

No where in the Bible is hatred against a human being justified. However, the Bible does state that homosexuality is a sin. That is what I believe. Everything God does is about producing fruit. He looks for the fruit of the Spirit to be produced in all of them that follow after Him. I have not read in the bible where such (homosexual) relationships produce fruit. God has never ordained a homosexual relationship because it goes against His very nature.
