Dr. Lon Keim describes the uses and benefits of hyberbaric oxygen therapy. Used in emergency situations to treat carbon monoxide poisoning, the therapy is also used to help heal problem wounds and damage to tiny blood vessels caused by radiation treatments. The hyberbaric oxygen unit at The Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha was opened in 1986. For more information or to set up an appointment, call 1-800-922-0000 or visit http://www.nebraskamed.com.
Note that he explains how it works by supplying oxygen to damaged tissue & re-vascularizing the tissue. So, we use it in wound healing and in treating radiation burns to aid in delivering oxygen and to rebuild tissue vascularity... yet the current dogma is that it is of no benefit in stroke, tbi, cp, and other neuro-vascular conditions. Sadly, they are off-label and many in the industry have a strong stance that their is no evidence. No evidence? How about science, research, and common sense
