  • This is pretty interesting. I can paint mine maybe 2 - 4X and then they peel, so I don't know if it's the polish or remover. They don't peel if I leave them alone.

I've used so danged many products to help, I'm too skeptical.

BTW, pretty Essie polish - what's its name?

I love your lighting and black background. How'd you set up the background? I think it helps with the amount of light your camera "sees" your face.

Thanks for the video - this is a conundrum! (()))) Susan

  • @delacotta360 The derm told me to apply polish every morning and remove every nite which is soo not happening. Have burned thru so many nail products over the years but these are keepers! I love, love my black background, especially with my lighter hair and skin tone but it is difficult to get lighting correctly with it because it absorbs so much light. Thanks so much Susan! ♥ jan

  • Huge thank you for this great video Jan. Totally agree with you on not buffing the nail to get rid of ridges. It may work for some ladies but it ruins mine. I'll give the strong nail system a go, if they will ship it to Europe as your nails truly look fabulous!! Warm hugs coming your way. :) xx

  • @Lollazizi Thanks so much for watching and your always lovely comments. Big {{hugs}} xoxo Jan

  • I never thought about using acetone vs. non acetone, makes good sense. I learn something new every day. LOL. Thanks for sharing. btw, I really like Essie good to go, too. xo Sarah

  • Hey lady! Long time no see! Holidays, illnesses (winter yukkies) have kept me from youtube land. You sound like you have the same nails as I do ): if my SH doesn't work out I will check into some of these products. Thanks for sharing~have a great day!

  • @SandraB1000 Do let me know if you give it a go and what you think about it. Thanks so much for watching! xoxo Jan

  • @starzhere I had beautiful nails until I hit 54, the genetics kicked in and then they pretty much went to crap with the ridges. Could not agree with you more about the water! Thanks so much Elaine and hope you have a wonderful day! ♥ Jan

  • When I was younger, I NEVER thought I would have problem nails. Aging affects every part of the body. I have used lots of different types of base coat treatments. For the past three months, I have tried Sally Hansen in the blue bottle, it's for ridges and peeling. My nail's peel between the ridges. Seche Viche only peels on me after a week of polish and by that time it's time to redo them anyway. The less water that touches my nails the less peeling I get.
