my yamaha dt50 mx

a quick look round and ride up and down my drive.

- 60cc big bore kit
- aftermarket exhaust
- dt80 downpipes
- k&n air filter
- original carb
- stock tyres
- smaller rear sprocket
- no idea about the front sprocket
- motion activated flashing tyre valves (hardcore haha)

ive got a dt50 mx big bore 1983 and want to know how 2 get a high performance exhaust and also would it help to get a a conical power air filter

what size is your big bore? get the exhauset off the internet. look for DEP or gianelli.

and yes a conical power air filter or a k&N would be good. i got k&N. also to fit it in you have to cut the plastics out where the foam filter woudl normally go. open up your reeds that are inbetween your carb and your mainfold. bend them open as far as theyll go with a pair of pliers (as far as thewyll go so that they wtill fit in the manifold )

@shlugamortis, when you started the bike, was it already warmed up? when i start mine in the cold, it revs really high :(, gotta play with throttle for a sec to get it warm

when mine warms up the idling goes up a bit.

dont ask me why. i have no idea hahaha

yep mine does that i have to rev it low 4 a bit other wise if i go straight away it makes a thrashing sound like its cutting out
