The Scene: Lexus and Sara are at Lexus' friend's summer house in a wealthy area. As they drive past the enormous houses, Sara casually points out a house that reminds her of some guy's place in the Hamptons. Jealousy sets in quick, and Lexus wants to know more about this 'some guy' and why Sara was at his house which then leads to more questions about Sara's past.

Behind The Scene: Two days before our first day of shooting, we shot an improv scene between Jessica's character "Lexus" and Julissa's character "Sara". The concept was to show some of the relationship between Lexus and Sara since we only see select parts of their summer together in the short film.

This is the only take we have. The rest of the footage was accidentally erased! So you only get Jessica's coverage (Julissa is offscreen) in this take and only a small part of the dialog.

Sara is a short film by Stan (http://youtube.com/todol)
Starring Jessica Clark & Julissa Bermudez

  • @Kasen717 Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed this :)

  • This seems "real" to me. Some movies lose the essence of reality;at least this one does not. People will still be able to connect with it. I applaud the creator and actors.

  • @bbcasting ah well, we disagree :) I really like it!

  • @sarathefilm No prob. On the bright side, the image looked good. The actors just didn't seem focused in this take and were terrible at improv. Seemed from this take like it would be an editing nightmare.

  • @bbcasting thx for the lookout. 2 out of the 4 actors I casted for the film were SAG & I used the SAG Short Film Agreement contract. the video above was an exercise, completely on the fly & unfortunately i lost all of the takes except this one so wasn't able to put together a properly edited 'scene'.

  • "like like like like like like like."

You really should get professional actors for your next project. SAG (Screen Actors Guild) actors will work deferred pay for short films.
