@ilostmypassword Haha, i know this is outstanding. He is magician of a singer afterall. Btw, why dont u listen to classics? They bore you or u just dont find them "cool"? silly to even think of comparing legends. music is to enjoy and appreciate. jagjit ji is no more but his loving voice will reverberate around the globe forever. jagjit ji brought ghazal closer to the youth, made it simple and hummable by common people. he experimented with music both with classical and western instruments that popularised ghazal even more. whats more his golden voice is a treat to hear...

Jagjit singh & Gulam Ali both are legends. One version may be more appealing to anyone. Please, no one criticize any of them. It is fully unnecessary & also spoils the mood.

I have listened both the singers and noted that Ghulam Ali has more variety in delivery of certain words, accordin to sitaution. Also he renders more variations in uttering raags and key words of the ghazal with differing tone and pitch, to which Jagjit lacks a lot.
Yet Jagit has his own stature which cant be denied.
