  • I'd like to see him do that with the Cheese Omlet.

  • Cheating big time. Should have only been able to use the chemical heat pack to cook with.

  • 1. It's not just MREs. Even Bœuf bourguignon or Coq au vin by Jacques Pepin could be disgusting if you have to eat them every other day for months and months... especially without any wine or beer to accompany.

    2. If served on a nice hot plate, who knows even Al Qaeda MREs could be tasty.

    3. Emerill is an entertainer just like Donald Trump.

Complainers here are just too serious about cooking.

  • he should eat a normal one first

you gotta admit though, tongue in cheek joke or not, it isn't that difficult to make something moderately crappy to tolerable like an mre into something pretty tasty.

  • you guys all need to relax here...with all this "OH NOEZ HEZ UZING TEH FANCYZ INGREEEEEDIENTZ SOZ HEZ CHEETINGZ!!!!!" crap...seriously it's a tongue-in-cheek joke about how bad MRE's are. They're just having some fun in saying that it takes a world-renowned chef to make an MRE actually taste delicious. Now coming from a guy who has eaten them (I'm in ROTC so I've had a few of them) I have to say they aren't too bad, they're not awesome but it's hot and anything tastes good when you're hungry.

  • @spartanthree8 True, you can't call that abomination cheese.

  • @JonasLarsenErGud lol! more like chalk omlet!

  • Cool, a pepper and onion sandwich. Sounds tasty..

  • Just let me hop on down to Kroger and get the other ingredients.

    Its only 6,000 miles away.

    Be back in no time.

  • BAM!

  • @jharrell23867

Yeah, i get the exercise. Emeril has little to work with... how to make cardboard taste better. garlic and hot sauce works every time.
