Sakurai Sho leaves limo and walks the red carpet for the World Premiere and first screening ever of "Yatterman". Very blurry/shaky because of the people in front of me also taking videos and pictures. Video taken in line at the Directors Guild Theater on 110 W57th Street.

  • why don't he come to belgium

  • It wouldn't have made a big deal, then, but now that Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is coming to America, maybe Yatterman will get some stateside recognition with help from someone OTHER than 4Kids!

  • It's kinda strange that Yattaman would premiere in the USA ahead of Japan, given that the original cartoon isn't too well known Stateside (at least not as much as Speed Racer & Battle of the Planets, also from the same studio) Likewise, how would Miike-san's US following - who would associate him with gory stuff like Ichi the Killer - react to Yatterman's OTT anime-derived visuals?? However, if that's any indicator, this should definitely show Hollywood how anime properties should be handled

  • The security were arseholes. I turned up intending to get a space nearby to shoot video of them on the red carpet and was told I could not stand anywhere as the space opposite the crowd had to be kept clear and that I needed to get to the back of the queue, like, half a mile away. I hoped Takashi Miike would sign my poster on his way in seeing as he ran out of time earlier but they were having none of it.

  • my friend chased his limo and i had to run after her xD

ahhh but he's such a handsome man! Too bad the security were asses and the pink suit dude didnt realize how many of us there were... did you hear him call himself a "shitler" i almost feel on the floor
