Just before midnight last night Stanislaus Consolidated Fire was dispatched to reports of a fire at the Gallo Winery in Modesto, California.
The fire was located in pallets of glass bottles that were stacked on the property near the fence line of the factory on South Santa Cruz Ave.
Crews began to battle the blaze from the street shooting water on to the pallets with the help of the Modesto Fire Department and later the Ceres Fire Department.
The fire continues to burn into the morning hours as it has worked it's way down into the pallets. Crews on scene have decided that the best course of action right now is to let the fire burn it's self down while doing everything they can to contain it to as few pallets as possible.
Early reports were that the fire was started by an air born firework or perhaps even a flare shot from a flare gun but, the cause of the fire has not been determined at this time.
Modesto News .org was the only news agency on the scene to bring you this exclusive footage of the fire and this exclusive interview with Battalion Chief Eric DeHart of the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District.
This footage was seen on KCRA 3 and Good Day Sacramento.
