http://www.sundancechannel.com/iconoclasts Ashley Judd answers the question: What is an Iconoclast?

In the "Iconoclasts: Madeleine Albright + Ashley Judd" episode of "Iconoclasts", former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and actor and humanitarian Ashley Judd talk about their careers and mutual devotion to international causes over the course of a day in Washington, D.C. Secretary Albright invites Judd to the National Democratic Institute, which she chairs, for a teleconference with Africa-based AIDS workers. From there, Judd introduces Secretary Albright to the organization Population Services International, for which she serves as global ambassador, to discuss its mission to combat malaria and infant mortality in developing countries. The two also tour the National Museum of Women in the Arts to contemplate the history and impact of the feminist movement. Directed by Joe Berlinger.

ICONOCLASTS airs Thursdays at 10pm on Sundance Channel.

  • Given Albright's track record with the Clinton Administration, who continued a policy of destructive sanctions against Iraq, leading the deaths of over half a million men, women, and children, I'd say Albright should be considered for crimes against humanity. As for Ashley Judd, she's a dumb ass with no movie career. Now, she's stuck being an apologist for a mass-murderer. Nice going, Ashley.

  • Listen, you may not like Ashley Judd but she is at least trying to make a difference. She is very involved with international affairs and is quite educated on the subject of poverty. Albright still has some clout and is probably a good person to go to in order to get the ball rolling in this matter. If only we all could do a fraction of what these women are doing instead of spilling our hate and disgust...

  • I admire Ashley.

    Beautiful counts in our society.

Inner beauty doesn't mean very much.

Fat people, disabled people can think and feel as well as anyone else and Ashley seems to understand that.

Plus she married a great race car driver, so thumbs up on all accounts.

  • Iconoclast a word taught to most Gr. 9 students. It means, "to break an idol" or idea. 4 e.g. Negros were not allowed to walk on the sunny side of the sidewalks during certain hours of the 1950's in the USA - idol being only "whites" were allowed to keep warm. 1950 - negros were not allowed in grocery stores only the "idol" was allowed 1950 - negro Catholics could come to Church ?after midnight, "idols" are very important 1950 - negros were not allowed on stage - "idols" must paint faces black.

  • Wow, spoken just as Jesus would have

  • i dont understand how you can make such claims about Ashley Judd.. I think shes a much better person than M. Albright. Maybe Ashleys keeping her enemies closer

  • It's almost funny to see how liberal and brainwashed she is - no I'm not a conservative, I'm a Libertarian.

"If A Nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be"

    Thomas Jefferson.

  • You poor soul, all I can do is shake my head..poisoned by the Liberal Media who like to spin everything...

  • Ashley Judd has not done her homework here. Albright contributed to a murder on a grand scale, how can anyone overlook that fact? My respect for her is gone.
