This is actually 2 gipsy-folk songs assembled in one. The first is about the gipsy girl and the second is the "play for me my gipsy" one.

Originally they're called "Ja sam mala garava" and "Evo banke cigane moj"

P.S.

I'm not sure about the word "swarthy" and may be misusing it. What is meant in the song is "as if covered in silt" or "charred".
