iteah you could call it plug and play over wifi.but if you have a gadget that suports plug and play and it has wifi that doesnt mean that device cand do this.and the ps3 was just an example.if you have a 5.1 and a pc and a ps3 and a tv all of the upnp compatible then you can do a lot of cool things, like runing trough you folders on the pc from your phone and the selecting a movie wich will play on the tv direclty and sound on you 5.1 sistem without any cable on each device
It's Plug and Play via WiFi. Just because you have wifi on your phone doesn't mean you can connect to media networks and such. Try it with an E61i, and it's not gonna happen.
Is something like a samba share supposed to be undestood as Upnp?
I thought UPnP was supposed to be the protocol for detecting of hardware devices, and understanding if you have the drivers or not that suport the respective devices.
Like when you connect a a pen through o USB and the driver gets installed on the fly.
Or when you turn on the pc, and the bios detects your graphics card, sound card, rams all the crap!
What does sharing media content have to do with plug and play?

You glossed over the primary barrier for me. How do you set your 'images, video & music to share all the files'?
