  • As far as I know it is a matter of personal choice. There is a benefit to tie 13 in that the full tzitzi will be long. That is, there is a requirement to have the hanging section (anaf) be twice the length of the tied section (gdil) - thus the longer the anaf the longer the gdil.

  • I see you made 13 chulyoth, but one Ptil Tekhelet guide showed 7 chulyoth, which from what I've observed is more common among Yemenites. Is it purely a matter of personal choice, or are there opinions that hold that 13 is preferable?
