I lived at 25th St. on Hermosa Ave. for 30 years from 1975.. when it was really good until moving to Oceanside because the surf had gotten so bad. I shaped for EK Designs, even made a few boards for Ted Robinson. Really cool finding this video, thanks for posting.

It's safe to brag about this place because it always closed out since about 1991. Back then El Porto used to break all the way up to the sand with good shape (for real) and the Torrance area used to break three times as far out.

@murfdasurfer I too surfed with Kelly Gibson, Brent Frohoff, Todd Meachum, Robert Dorr, and David Bar. I lived on 30th place 76 to 79 just below Robert Dorr. I moved to el porto after that so I went el segundo not mira costa. send me a message if you still have contact with any of these guys

Yeah Todd Meachum, I surfed with all these guys in the late 70's early 80's. They were locs at Longfellow Street Hermosa Beach.
