@mrceebees14 They have youth and PLENTY of home grown talent ,maybe you don't get it. Have you looked at they're roster? Henrik, Staal, Cally, Dubinsky, Girardi, Sauer, the list goes on. You have to sprinkle the team with vets too. Sather has done it wrong for so long, any Ranger fan would agree, but he has made solid moves the past 2 years. Even dumping Gomez(incredibly) and getting back McDonough who's a stud and Valatenko (another young D man) who might make the team this year. The trades for

@B2B76 looking at the player from the inside out. Drury is every bit as talented as Richards. I don't want to hear that "it's different to play here," crap, that is bullshit. These are not kids, these are vets, they come to the Rangers for a pay check, everyone knew Richards would come here because of two things 1) You can make rock star money and 2) it's the New York Rangers, where players go to die.

You guys had better hope the Isles leave, that team is looking scary good, especially Nino.

@B2B76 I can disagree totally because you still don't get it. You and the Rangers won't ever get it, which is why you only have 4 cups in nearly 85 years. You build the youth, how many draft picks have been thrown away because the Rangers can't help but buy the pretty, shiny new toy in the window come Summer? Drury is and always will be a clutch, multi-useful athlete, the guy was a giant before he came to the Rangers and ruined his career. You keep buying players based on skill, instead of

@mrceebees14 Richards is just what the Rangers need right now, hate them all you want, you can't disagree. They needed a 1st line Center & PP QB, he's both. And I love how people keep saying he has a history of concussions, NOT true, last year was the first concussion he ever got. I would worry about him & concussions no more than any other player, its a concern, but lets not over blow it. Looking forward to a rejuvinated Rangers/Isles rivalry this year.

@11DNA11 1) Luongo is a choke artists and sucks. 2) Heatley was not who Milbury was not going to draft Heatley, he was going to take Gaborik. You don't even know the facts, what are you? 10?

Unlike you I don't live in the past, the present favors the Isles with a better rounded team. Can't wait for the season to start to see Brad Richards start to regress in the true tradition of Ranger mercenaries.

@11DNA11 Palffy was a salary dump you idiot, that is when the NHL took over the team. Bertuzzi sucked when he was with the Isles, he wouldn't go into the corners and he wouldn't lay the body. Look at his numbers with the Isles, they were horrible, you never watched him obviously. Chara I can give you, mentioning the pick is stupid, no one knew who Milbury was going to draft. A pick is a pick, most drafts are crap shoots after the 5th pick. Dipietro might suck, then again so does Luongo.

Lemme think for a moment. Palffy, Luongo, Bertuzzi, Chara AND trading a pick which turned into Jason Spezza AND drafting DiPietro as #1, when they already had Luongo, instead of Heatley. So i think the joke is on the Isles. :)

Respond to this video... You must not remember that it was Hextall who also turned into a sieve in Quebec when the Nords got blown out 4-0 and it was Hextall who was the main reason. That is the reason the Nords got rid of him, if I remember, it was Thaibault who took his place with Fischaud as the back up, or the other way around. Hextall has an M.O. you can get under his skin by running him and that is exactly what guys like Messier did, they ran him all night and he starting fighting the puck

@dddd566 I said this was the worst team the Isles sent off into the playoffs and it's. I already said Hextall turned into a sieve more then he should of, so I am not making excuses, merely stating facts.

You must not remember, because DON MALONEY dismantled that 1993 team starting with Healy who he placed on waivers. It was Healy who got the Isles that far by playing out of his mind, so no, that 1994 was not at all the same.
