Nina Simone - Turning Point

This is a very powerful song. Also, the implicit theme combined with the tune makes it a perfect song for Nina Simone. I think it's the kind of song she enjoyed singing (this is the woman who sang Pirate Jenny right in the middle of the storm... I don't think many people would've had the balls!). Song is by Martha Holmes.

This song is on a CD I'd often play.. One of my young sons fell in love w/ this song. Great song to introduce the unfairness of the world.

oddly enough a commercial struck a similar chord .. a black and a white newborn are laying aside each other..... later a shot of two tombstones next to one another... It asks why are these the only times we aren't concerned with who our neighbors are? ..Powerful.
