Looks good. Much better than the rest of the season.

  • Anybody confused? I'm sure most people are. If my Star Wars knowledge holds up, I'll go ahead and explain the trailer: That huge citadel must be the Sith Temple of Dromund Kaas, held by the Prophets of the Dark Side (a Sith splinter group founded by Darth Millennial, the 3rd after Bane). The prophets are worshipers of Bogan, the Dark Side of the Force, which I suspect is that vampiric being. The goddess character must be Ashla, the Light Side of the Force. It appears that Bogan possesses Ahsoka.

  • @PhazonX Interesting theory, but I highly doubt it. They don't usually put that much thought into the show, connecting it with the EU, or any of its events.

  • @PhazonX You said two completely different things there. "He's wearing cortosis gauntlets", and that he's just "indestructible to lightsabers"... He blocked it using the force. lol More or less like force pushing the saber for a split second, stopping it before it hit him.

  • @JacobSheppard He is simply known as "The Son", and he isn't wearing cortosis gauntlets. His kind, that is He, The Father, and The Daughter are all indestructible to lightsabers (watch the episode 3.15 bonus preview and you'll see). I still hold with my theory that he is the personification of the Dark Side, Bogan. The Prophets of the Dark Side however have been ruled out.

  • @JacobSheppard Alright I didn't see the gauntlets, but he could still be using the Force. Second, the guys at LucasFilm have always made connections throughout all the Star Wars canon, I needn't make examples, and I wouldn't put it passed them to sneak in some advertising. Third, the Force ability is called Force Deflection, the same power Yoda used to block Sidious' Force lightning in Episode III, capable of blocking and absorbing all forms of energy: lightning, blaster bolts, and lightsabers.

  • @JacobSheppard Dave Filoni specially stated that with this season they'd be delving into the depths of the Expanded Universe. First the Nightsisters, now the Prophets of the Dark Side. And besides, it would make sense to use these instead of creating new canon.

  • @JacobSheppard Well, assuming that Night Sisters are force sensitive women who were actually trained in the force at one point leads me to believe it is only "magic" by Dathomir's mythology, and is in reality force sensitivity. But, on another side-note, I don't even think that guy is associated with them. But I'll think of what you said. I'll just have to wait for the new years. Also, don't you love their new look? :D!

  • @PhazonX Firstly, see the stuff covering his arm? It's light armor. See the part covering his forearms? Those are called gauntlets.

Second, What? This has nothing at all to do with the old republic, it's the clone wars.

Third, nobody blocks sabers with their arms in any of the TOR trailers. I have them on my channel, go look. If you're talking about when the jedi stopped the saber, she was using force push, and made no contact with her arm, like the saber did in this trailer.

  • @PhazonX Oh wait, the Dark Force Temple (the Prophets) may be different from the Citadel (the Sith).

  • @JacobSheppard He doesn't appear to be wearing any gauntlets. This arc seems partly to be an advertisement for The Old Republic MMO. That temple seems to be the same Sith Temple from The Old Republic during the reign of the Sith Emperor, if those men are in fact the Prophets of the Dark Side. And the blocking and absorbing of lightsabers with one's arms is a Force ability shown in the Hope for Alderaan trailer. So, I'm pretty sure I have this story figured out, if they are in fact advertising.
