In this attempt at making a 15 second opening sequence I decided to leave off the unstable spinning and just use the standard clockwise rotation. Some wibble, some wobble. Still not as smooth as I would like it to be.

These Tardis Videos are for anyone that wants to use them for projects. I personally can't do effects well at all. What you see in these videos, while done by me, are done so using basic 3dsmax effects. Please do not ask me to create effects for you such as those done in After Effects because I don't know/never have done any. The 3d model is my personal model and not available to the public sorry.

  • Are we allowed to use these for our fan films (with credit of course)?

  • @drwhomad6500 Yes, that's the whole point of them :).

  • Ill tell you how I made my Tardis easier to control. First, I would keyframe its rotation like you've done here. Then i would create a dummy, and center it on the tardis, and move it to just above the top light.

Then I would "LINK" the tardis to the dummy, and rotate the DUMMY instead of the tardis. Gives way more control!

  • @ManservantPablo I have the tardis, it's parts (doors, light etc...) connected to a rotation cube which is just for clockwise and counter clockwise rotation. The rotation cube is then connected to a pitch and yaw sphere which is then connected to a box called "frame". Frame is assigned to the path constraint of the random moving around. The camera is on a path constraint in a straight line.
