This is a poem that I wrote in ASL. I was so touched by some of the ASL poems that I'd seen, and for whatever reason the sign "prayer" morphing into a butterfly really stuck with me. So the Lord inspired me to compose this :) If you're not familiar with ASL poetry, this is a fairly common form of ASL poetry which relies on one handshape for the entire story. In my case, I am using "open B" ( although obviously with some liberties, but such is poetry :D)

I am not a native signer, but I have had some wonderful Deaf teachers along the way. :) And in case you are wondering, I am an Anabaptist Christian (you might label me a Mennonite). That's why I am dressed the way I am. I might post a vlog on that later!
