"Hold To God's Unchangin' Hand", Paul Halley (b.1952);
Anthem, camcorded live 03 February 2008
Paul Halley served for thirteen years (1977-1990) as Director of Music at The Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, New York City, where he transformed the Cathedral's music program into a rich combination of classical and contemporary music.
Anthem text: "Time is filled with swift transition, naught of earth unmoved can stand. Build your hopes on things eternal, and hold to God's unchangin' hand.
You better hold to God's hand, God's unchangin' hand. Hold to God's hand, God's unchangin' hand. Build your hopes on things eternal, and hold to God's unchangin' hand.
Trust in God who will not leave you, whatsoever years may bring, and if by earthly friends forsaken, still more closely to God cling."
