The Illini are a team on the rise. Zook transformed Illinois from a team losing 56-3 at halftime to national championship contender Penn State at home on homecoming to a team going on the road and beating national championship contender Ohio State 28-21. The Illini aren't cupcakes anymore, I predict a 2nd place finish in the Big 10 and a top ten finish national ranking.

God, if Mendenhall had come back for his senior year, he would never have broken his arm and Illinois would be unstoppable. He probably would have gone top 10 in the 2009 draft if he had stayed.

Great video. I am an Ohio State fan but Illinois looks very good this year, even better than last year. BUT Ohio State though might have their best team in almost 15 years this year. Michigan is not going to be good this year so someone has to step up. I hope Illinois and Ohio State both go into their game undefeated. That would be a clash!!

I wouldn't be surprised if Illinois wins the Big 10 this year. Mostly because how they played last year. Last year they didn't play like a Cinderella, a cinderalla team usually wins a bunch of close games and gets lucky, but Illinois manhandled just about everybody, including a blowout win at Minnesota, and was never blown out in the regular season, and even the Rose Bowl was a lot closer than the score. Hopefully Illinois gets another shot at USC but this time blows them out.
