im sure its not what PJ intended but when Frodo says "wood elves" he really thinks they are wood elves but when he actually sees them he knows they are High Elves. Frodo knows well enough. that's how im gona think of it anyway. makes me feel better

@tearsofvenus Not in the book...In the book Pippin was with Frodo and Sam when they started their journey and they met Merry later on and they were welcomed into the farmer Maggot's home and he took them to the river too.
