  • I love this song. Where'd you get the tabs and lyrics?

  • Thanks - I play by ear learning from others or listening to old records then add my own style. That's the way we do it in the mountains. I know how to read music but you lose the feeling if you play that-a-way. I'm blessed with being able to listen to a song a couple of times and be able to play some semblance of it. I'll put more up this fall and winter when I'm cooped up in the house more. Grab your jug and play along :)

  • That is the way we do it in the mountains. I see your from Deer Gap on your channel. I've been through 4 times.

Have you ever rode through or been to Danville, Virginia?

  • Nope, but your close by. I should be buying a motorcycle in a couple of weeks so keep an eye out for a big dude on a Kawasaki KLR 650 with a banjo strapped to his back :) I plan on doing some back roads traveling that way.

  • Oh btw not that bad. Just not my kind of music.

  • I listen to and play all kinds of music. Maybe I'll post my old 80's band videos :) Played bass in one then guitar in another. Then you'll call me a punk. Enjoy and make the best of your youth it goes by quickly.

  • Absolutely great version! Can't wait to learn this one and entertain the dog on the porch.

  • Awesome!! When you get old and retire, youre welcome to come sit on our porch and do that all day long. XD

  • It is really good. Probably one of the best versions I've heard. It'd sound really good if he'd had a cluck on every other stroke too.
