shrilanka broadcasting corpration [erstwhile radio cylon] still playing this song on every 1st day of month. i am 60+ and still hear radio shrilanka/cylone daily from 7 am to 8.30 am. it is my routin to hear sbb daily. this song sung by kishorkumar and tuned by BABUJI i.e. sudhir phadke is unfurgottable.

@durlabhpkolhe Yes you are absolutely right. I too am 60 + and grew up listening to this song on Radio Ceylon - hey use to start with - Ye Radio Ceylon ka vypar vibhag hai aur aap sun rahe hai...... and then the name of the program- Binaca Geetmala or others. Wah wah kya zamana tha

IF IT IS STILL PLAYING ON I WILL CONTINUE TO LISTEN.
