Very often we neglect the benefits of hip strengthening exercises, especially when training for sprints events. The strength component and the mobility of the hip area is essential for optimizing performance. However, before going into high intensity sets of exercises with weight bearing equipment, we should start our exercises with total body weight, and subsequently increase the intensity by adding bearing equipment like medicine ball, machine or free weights.
