The new album is horrible. Mesa was brillant and every song was great. The new album is just pop garbage and im a big fan of this band.

I completely disagree. Battle For The Sun is a great album, with the same honesty, the same brutality, the same wonderful music as every other Placebo record. If things are a little catchier this time, well, I've never objected to catchy songs - & maybe they'll *finally* get some recognition in the US. I doubt it, but one can dream...

Powerful song and performance!!! I'm still kinda of new to placebo but I feel like I've found a piece of my soul!!! Sounds weird...huh...but that's the way I feel. It's like I was missing something in my soul before I discovered their music. Now it's like "where have you been all my life". Sorry for the cliche, but its the truth!!!

@heavenslittlesecret Ahaha... It's because their songs relate to what's on the inside, the good, the bad and the ugly, and amplify it as a song and short story. I found that when I started listening, I was obsessed with the song 'Every Me, Every You' and when I found out the meaning I understood why and was able to move on with my regrets. That's why I'm so dedicated to this band XD

I totally agree with you!When I saw your comment I said "oh shit yes!somenone who agrees with me!".Battle for the sun is a good cd but it doesn't make you feel its songs....you know the lyrics and the music is not like old placebo with all this pain and drugs and full full of feelings!Listen to blind...so much pain...and feelings and listen to ashtray heart...!And the new drummer is so "non compatible" to the whole style of the band.....

It's a pity if they go on like this...

Battle for the sun its totally different than the other records i personaly dont like it ...does not have the placebo essence that use to have with WYIN OR SLEEPING WITH GHOSTS ....i think they made this album to be accepted in the US and thats why they picked that goofy ass drummer ..but still placebo rocks!!
