I'M LOOKING FOR A JOB TO BE A PROFESSIONAL POP/HIP HOP DANCER. I CAN SING, PLAY VIOLIN AND PIANO TOO!!! I am not joking! If you are reading this, please help me find a job! My contact information is at the end of the video after all the credits. Also, If you click on the minimize button on the bottom right hand corner, the quality may be better even though its smaller in size. I know at times it seems like I don't have much power. That is because::

1. My dance area and space is limited (notice the camera doesn't move... I had boundary lines. For an example, I couldn't walk or run to the very front near the camcorder b/c there is actually NOTHING AND NO DANCE GROUND THERE. The background you see is not real. I'll try to do close ups in my future videos.)

2. I was tired (Filming 2 songs in one day and playing each person's part again and again because of big mess ups and retakes are time and energy consuming. If I messed up badly, I had to start over from the beginning and refilm. If a person knocks over my camera before I finished one song, I had to film every person's part that I had already done from the very very beginning. To a point, I had minor mess ups that I just didn't care about anymore or didn't know about).

3. I didn't want to walk in someone else's space. (Since I had to do each person's part... I had guess where the other person would be and didn't want to overlap them)

4. A last reason I could think of is that you are viewing me from a somewhat far away angle. (The dances may seem more powerful in professional dance videos b/c they have zoom in editing and closeup shots. If you look at dancers from like a football field away as if you were at a live concert, they are just going look like little dots to you. Plus concerts have lighting effects that make it look more exciting you know what I mean?)

There are a few other reasons and other limitations that you aren't able to see... But trust me... I have power and enthusiasm... so I don't want to hear about it.

These dance moves are not electronically or computer animated... I'm a real person... The only thing thats edited was the background and putting all 5 parts together. I danced and filmed each person's part ONE BY ONE. It was very tedious work. It was a 8 hour back to back dance process.

Thank you,

Brian Shieh

  • I have a new video out...

    Nsync-its gonna be me...

same 5 Brians again!! more camera angles and more editing effects... sorry that backgroud still sucks thought...

    /watch?v=BtkdF39lS0k

  • me and the nsync-byebyebye video...they were both filmed on the same day...8-29-2007...that is 10+ parts... a lot more if you count all the redos for all the really really bad mess ups....i didn't care anymore for small messups soo i just kept going...

  • of course... doing all 5 parts...2 different dances in 5 hours...and memorizing all parts..you are going to mess up and to the point where you just don't care to do any more retakes...and you get tired and run out of energy.... I got a new video coming...more energy...cuz I did only once dance in one day instead of two

  • well doing all 5 parts is what makes my film unique and different from the rest... ^^

  • Why did you arms disappear at some points?

  • my arms disappear at some points b/c I don't own a professional studio... that would've costed $1000+ a day... I don't have an investment like that...

  • do u have some kind of tutorial on this dance?

  • Just so you know.. and no offence to you.. but this will not qualify as Hip-Hop Dance. Using somebody else's choreography (and not to mention performing it sub-standardly) will not land you a job as a dancer. You need more technic, move on from copying MTVs and research more on the various street dances.

As far as this video proves, you could do and remember steps, but there is little or no factor in the video that proofs that you can perform.

Just my two cents worth. Don't stop practising!

  • This is pretty advanced for the time when it was recorded. I think you had way too many words. No one is gonna read all that. They know it wasn't done professionally. You are better off to concentrate on just one finished song per day, rather than overtire yourself. If you want to cheer up, watch fukunagajun1's video to Hilchryme. It's totally NOT pro. They just have fun & it's fun to watch.

  • this is really awesome, i have seen this before a couple years back and now seeing this again. It's really hard for him to dance to all five people and calucating each step (not to run into the other's space) What the F is wrong with these people posting negative comments? You honestly don't know how many times he re-record, 're-dance' to the whole thing if some errors occured during recording.

  • you guys WTF

just dont fucking comment on this video if you think its that bad.

he said he needs HELP not some random shit people comment.

so go get a life and fuck off

  • the truth hurts man..this is bad..keep practicing though..lolz..

  • gosh, why don't you learn how to speak english before lecturing others? i can't even understand what your trying to say. lol :)

  • lolwut!

  • AHUAHUAHAUHAUAHUA... if you dont do better this you never be a pro-dancer!!! you make a great bad dance if H.O.T. song, keep trainig... i think you are better for video editing!!! xD
