Much as I love Elton John, THIS version should have been the one they played on the radio that became a big hit. It's a zillion times better than the douched-down "hit" version.

This is how you know how great Lion king is and how much movies suck today. Everyone was willing to pay 12 bucks to see a movie of which they probably own a dozen times over. Same thing with me. I have the VHS and DVDs from several countries and I STILL went to go see this in theatres.

My best scenes are these with the gnous running & then Mufasa dying having tried to save his son! It' so moving you just can't stand crying on that... I <3 it!
