  • @stuartjamesgemmell Mel Gibson is American, born in upstate New York and lived there till he was 12.

  • @Hellsconsort well, if you live in a country with such things as electricity, autos and computers, understand that all of that technology was invented and developed by Christians within a Christian govt (JudeoChristian actually).

About 30 yrs ago, however, some big money began to fund the wackiest preachers on TV to scream and yell about Jesus, apparently to discredit Christianity. For the most part, it worked.

My grandparents were Christian but they never screamed and yelled about Jesus.

  • @Rockguitarnow I stating I agree that an effort should be made to reduce corruption, that's how I interpreted part of your message.

I disagreed in the context you put it forth 'It could have icons of Moses and King Solomon that teach the user to be good' - biblical references, Christian agenda pushing. I don't agree a religion or faith doctrine should be assosciated with charity, as this leans on converting people.

  • @Rockguitarnow I was agreeing with you in the context of corruption is high in some of these countries, money donated by whoever may not reach the people they intended giving it to, or the sum donated may be shaved.. This has emerged from different sources in the last few years especially.

  • @Hellsconsort Religion has nothing to do with it. I know of a researcher who submitted a funding request to the Gates Foundation which would definitely help reduce the suicide rate among teenagers, and the Gates Foundation didn't donate one penny. They are busy funding overpopulation programs. Sounds pathetic, but it's true.

America has the highest suicide rate among teenagers in the world, but not one penny from the Gates Foundation to help counter this problem.

  • @Rockguitarnow Good humanitarian message until you brought religious agenda into it.

  • I think Bill's claim to fame, other than the possibility of exceeding John D. Rockeffeler in philanthropy -- which he may or may not do (in today's dollars), is of being a competition cruncher.

  • Bill, in those countries everybody lies and steals. You have to teach them morals first.

How about designing the next Windows with morals built in?

It can give helpful reminders about why its important to be honest and compassionate. It could show federal laws against hacking and other offenses.

It could have icons of Moses and King Solomon that teach the user to be good.

In fact, call the new Windows system "Solomon" how about that?
