Climbing Mt. Fuji Fujisan

Watch our climb up the Subashiri route on Mt. Fuji (Fuji san). We began from the town of Gotemba in the Shizuoka prefecture of Japan. We left town on a bus bound for the fifth station, where all climbs up this route of Fuji begin. We brought a small amount of food and some warm clothing for the freezing temperatures at the top. After summiting, we descended to one of the huts along the route to catch a few hours of sleep and to see the best sunrise ever.

We used the subashiri route from the town of Gontemba. You can get there from the shinkansen station by transferring to a local train. We climbed in early season, like the 2nd day of the season. I recommend you try and get there as early as possible because I have heard and seen videos of it being absolutely packed up there. Because it was early season, we were the only ones on the top of the mountain for the sunset. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.

I just climbed ben nevis a few weeks ago. If you climbed ben nevis, you can climb fuji.

lol your on crack. going down was the fun part. Just jog it. my buddy took a fall and tumbled a about 20 yards. Great times! because I jogged it on the way down, i manged to do the whole climb up and down in 7 hours.

i hiked to the top in 6 hours. the hike down was the worst...

I did ittt! we climbed from THE 1ST station! TO THE TOP. It took 16 hours total. started at 4am. got to the 8th in the evening. and we decided to go to the top. and we could come back down to the 8th around 7pm. phew. (we hung around at the top for sometime.)

jeez It Was Real Toughhh. It took me 3-4days to get recovered after I came hooome.
