  • Looks like the pilots were really in the 2 engined plane when it crashed? because they were still manouvering. Did they survive?

  • @kedrednael no

  • THE BEST MOVIE OF HUGHES FILM (1930's)......

    - The 2 pilots survive after the BOMBER crashed on land.. They have parachutes.. =)

  • The editing here doesn't show it well, but they only got one brief shot of the bomber (actually a Sikorsky S-29 airliner) as it spiralled down; the rest of the footage had the parachutes of the two crewmen visible. They had to modify a Jenny trainer with two mockup wing engines and run it off a bluff to get the actual crash.

  • @Duchovicius The pilot and co-pilot of the plane got out, but there was another man in the body who was working the smoke pot to make the plume of smoke. The pilot was to signal that other man when he was going to bail out (they wanted to film the actual crash) but somehow the other man did not get the signal and crashed to his death totally unaware that the pilot had abandoned the plane. Horrible.

  • These are from the Howard Hugh's film.

  • Formidável!!! Incrível!!! Parece real!!!! ES-PE-TA-CU-LAR!!!!

  • What's wild about this (He'lls Angels, the film by Howard Huges), is that it looks like an excellently made independent film by some indie artists in 2010, but really, it was made in the 1930's. Unbelievable.
