I get my spirit broken in Stage 5 and 6. I was gonna stop the video at the end of Stage 4 but I decided to keep going so you guys could at least see the rest of the stages.

Not bad. I would recommend getting more Speed-ups though. Aside from areas like Level 3 and 5, max speed is controllable.

Shit the last boss was hard. Usually in the Gradius series, the last boss is the easiest of them all, but not salamander, I love it!!

The ship in 2 isn't the Lord British, it's the Super Cobra (nice homage from Konami to Super Cobra, the spiritual sequel to Scramble).

It's not quite a bullet-hell shmup, but this game is definitely pretty hard to nail without getting killed more than a few times. Artistically, it's just plain excellent. Thanks for posting this.
