It was kind of weird they made a tv movie for a show that only lasted two seasons.

@adheckle It was a basicly a pilot to revive the show. The original was doing ok in the ratings. but was canceled in 1986 mainly because CBS wanted to air TV Movies in the 9-11pm Sunday slot in order to compete with ABC and NBC which were doing the same at that time. When viewers complained, CBS experimented with bringing it back with this segment, ironicly turning it into one of TV Movies that had replaced the original. Ultimently the ratings were good, but not good enough for CBS to revive it
